Rossella Pescatori
Rosella Pescatori received a Ph.D. in Italian at the University of California Los Angeles in 2004 and previously obtained two degrees from the University of Venezia (Ca’ Foscari) Italy, one in Philosophy in 1995 (with a dissertation in Social Psychology) and the other in Lettere in 1998 (with a dissertation in Art History). Her main interest of research and study is an interdisciplinary approach to literature focusing on Medieval and Renaissance studies. She is the co-author and editor of the new English translation of Leone Ebreo’s Dialogues of Loves, University of Toronto Press, 2009. Currently as a philologist, she is pursuing a study that investigates the origin of the Italian language in connection to “Lingua Franca” in the Mediterranean basin. Rossella currently teaches Italian at El Camino College.
