Dilit IH (Divulgazione Lingua Italiana), established in 1974 in Rome, is one of the first language schools in Italy to teach Italian as a Foreign Language. It is part of International House, the well-known world-wide organization of 120 language schools and an early member of the IH World Organization, now a network of over 150 language schools in more than 50 countries.
The school’s goal is to offer, in a multiethnic and multicultural contest, an environment and atmosphere where every student day after day feels welcome and the object of the care and attention of all the school’s staff. With the support of a teaching methodology ever-polished over decades of research and experimenting they want to make sure their students experience their study as true personal, intellectual and cultural development. In order to achieve this goal their teaching and non-teaching staff are highly qualified and have many years of experience, properly employed on the best working conditions of the category and aware, all of them, of being an important part of a shared project. All services and activities offered by the school, from teaching to leisure time activities and the accommodation office, are aimed at the well-being of each and every student. They are constantly monitored and regularly inspected by international organizations who guarantee proper behavior, transparency and quality of service.
Finally, each of us is aware that each student has a dream, maybe tiny or maybe huge. For all of us helping our students to realize them is our first priority.
The school is situated in the centre of Rome just a short walk from the central railway station (Stazione Termini) and conveniently placed for transport to every area of the city. Via Marghera is a short and very quiet street. A perfect location for a school. There are 11 classrooms in the school, a five-storied Liberty style villa. In addition, there are 5 more classrooms in an annex just a short distance from the main building.
