This playful and interactive learning workshop presented by “Così X Gioco” from Palermo, will investigate the mind of the brilliant Florentine genius, Leonardo Da Vinci, by analyzing his exceptional skills and learning techniques, as well as his mistakes and failures. The presentation consists of a series of images, games and narrations that aim to make children and teenagers interested in the world around them.
$15 one parent with one child* / $5 for additional child
(max 3 children per 1 parent – snack included with workshop fee)
*must be 6 years old+ to attend and accompanied by parent/guardian.

Italian “Aperitivo” & Conversation

In Italy, an aperitivo (or apéritif) is often described as being similar to the American happy hour, but in reality, it’s much more than that. The term comes from the Latin word for “opener”, signifying that it was to open a meal. The aperitivo today describes the couple of hours before dinner when Italians meet to relax over a glass of wine or a light cocktail and finger foods. Join Fondazione Italia to mingle and converse in Italian at a private home in Glendale at our first ever Italian Aperitivo & Conversation gathering. Native Italian speakers will be there to guide conversations and give students the opportunity to put their Italian into action in a relaxed and informal setting. Price includes Italian cocktail and appetizers. Address of location will be sent via email once registered. Deadline to register is March 11, 2019
