Visiting Italian & Spanish Assistant Professor Needed – Hammond, Louisiana

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Southeastern Louisiana University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Italian and Spanish for the 2021-2022 academic year, with the possibility of renewal. (Employment begins on August 10, 2021). The successful candidate will teach language and culture courses at all levels in Spanish and Italian. Familiarity with online instruction and interest in Service-learning and Study Abroad programs will be also considered. Teaching assignment is four courses per semester. Ph.D. in Italian or Spanish (or related field) with at least 18 hours of graduate studies in the second language are required. Native or near-native fluency in Italian, Spanish and English, excellence in teaching, and participation in departmental activities are also required. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
