August 27, 2021 – The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a one semester, non-tenure-track visiting position that will begin January 10, 2022 (Visiting Assistant Professor with PhD or Visiting Instructor if ABD).
They are seeking an individual with expertise in Italian Studies and experience teaching both language and upper division topics courses. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a 3-course teaching load. Primary responsibilities will likely include teaching one Italian language class, one bridge course (“Reading and Writing Italy”) and one topics course in the successful candidate’s specialization, ideally to be cross-listed with an interdisciplinary program (i.e. Environmental Science and Policy, European Studies, Film and Media Studies, Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, or other).
