Full-Time Italian Instructor – University of Illinois, Chicago

April 4, 2022 – The Department of Hispanic and Italian Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking applications for a non-tenure track position beginning August 2022.

Duties: The successful candidate would teach elementary and intermediate Italian language and culture courses. May be renewable depending on performance and programmatic need.

Requirements: Native/near native fluency in Italian; demonstrated excellence in teaching Italian at the college level and in a variety of formats; evidence of commitment to students’ success and participation in departmental activities. ABD or Ph.D. in Italian and/or an advanced degree in second language pedagogy/acquisition preferred, but MA will be considered.
