Help Promote Italian Language and Culture by Supporting Italian Teachers!

Date 03.13.2015

Promoting the teaching of the Italian language and culture in Southern California schools is our mission and passion! Fondazione Italia has been presented with an opportunity by the California World Language Project (CWLP), in collaboration with the California Language Teachers’ Association (CLTA), to offer a week-long College Board-endorsed Italian Advanced Placement Summer Seminar for Italian Language educators on the UC Santa Barbara campus this summer. This seminar is an exceptional professional growth opportunity for Italian language teachers and an important initiative that we believe will result in new and stronger Italian programs in Southern California high schools from level 1 to level 4/AP® but we can’t fund this opportunity alone.

We need your help to make this incredible initiative a reality!

In order to fund this initiative, in collaboration with the Consulate of Italy, Fondazione Italia is launching a campaign to raise $18,000 to contribute to the cost of the seminar and offer at least 15 full or partial fellowships to participating teachers. We can’t think of a better way to strengthen Italian programs in California high schools than by helping teachers secure the skills and professional training they need to lead their students from Italian level 1 through to the Italian AP® level.

We hope that you will consider offering a contribution in support of this important campaign.

Your tax deductible donation can be made online or you may download a CLTA Italian Summer Seminar Donation Form.

Fundraising deadline is Friday, April 10, 2015
