FILM: “Mio Fratello è Figlio Unico” at Bowers – Sept. 18

Cena e Cinema Italiano at Bowers Museum! For the September Cinema Italiano, the Bowers Museum will be introducing Cena e Cinema, an Italian dinner and movie program! Come to Tangata for dinner at 5:00 pm, followed by the film screening at 7:00 pm in the Norma Kershaw Auditorium.

Mio Fratello è Figlio Unico– My Brother is an Only Child (2007) (108 min) follows the lives of two working class brothers who live in Italy in the 1960s. While his brother Manioc becomes drawn into left-wing politics, Accio, the hotheaded younger brother, is taken under the wing of a market trader and while under his influence, joins the Fascist Party.  The film won four David di Donatello awards. In Italian with English subtitles.
