Stefania Kachadoorian

Stefania Kachadoorian is a dynamic mother of four (ages 8 months to 12 years old), holds a Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Pisa, Italy and a Montessori Diploma in primary education. She taught for two years as a Montessori directress, and several years as an Italian and French tutor, translator, and interpreter for Berlitz and other organizations. She has been teaching classes for children through Fondazione Italia since 2003.

Francesca Bruni

Francesca Bruni was born in Piacenza and raised in Como, Italy. In 1992, Francesca was transferred from Como to Los Angeles, by the bank where she worked, for a two year training program. While in Los Angeles, Francesca met her future husband. She settled in Orange County in 1996 with her husband and two children. Francesca graduated from California State University with a degree in History and Education. Francesca has been teaching adult classes at all levels with Fondazione Italia since 2008. Since 2011 she has also been teaching Italian in the Adult Education Program at Santiago College and Santa Ana College.

Maria Olivieri Minney

Maria Olivieri Minney was born and raised in Torino, Italy, where she graduated in Political Science. In 2009, Maria received her Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of California-Irvine. Since 1998, Maria has been living in Southern California with her husband and two children. She started teaching Italian adult classes in 2004 for the Capistrano Unified School District. In 2005 Maria began teaching with Fondazione Italia to students of different ages and also taught middle school students and adults at St. Mary School in Aliso Viejo. For the past two years, Maria has been teaching Italian to Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students at Oxford Preparatory School, a charter school located in Mission Viejo.

Nadia Pettinger

Nadia Pettinger was born and raised in Genoa, Italy. She moved to California in 1998 and settled in Orange County with her husband and their three children. She graduated from the University of Genoa with an undergraduate degree specialized in Foreign Languages and Literature. In 2009 she obtained her Master’s degree specialized in Teaching Italian as a Second Language from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She has been teaching Italian since 2006 at all levels and to different age groups. Nadia is an enthusiastic educator with a passion for teaching.

Antonella Gleason

Antonella Oddi Gleason was born in Milan and moved to the United States from Piacenza, Italy in 1993. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Saddleback College in Mission Viejo in 1999 where she began her teaching career as a teacher’s assistant in the Italian language department in 2002. Antonella began teaching Italian to children through Fondazione Italia in 2007 and has also been the Italian teacher at St. Edwards the Confessor Elementary School where her daughter attends since 2008. In 2013, Antonella began teaching Italian to adults through the San Clemente Extended Education Program. Antonella loves imparting an understanding of the Italian language and culture to children and adults and has no plans to stop!

Sandra Bottarelli

Sandra was born and raised in Parma, Italy. She moved to Torrance two years ago with her husband and two children.  Sandra attended a Foreign Language High school and studied  Foreign Languages & Literature  at Universita’ degli Studi di Parma.  She is passionate about the Montessori and Reggio Emilia pedagogical methodologies.  She loves being with kids and witnessing the happiness they infuse into all their activities. Sandra began working as a teacher for Fondazione Italia in January 2013.

Anna Cillari

Anna Cillari was born and raised in Palermo. She completed her studies at the University of Palermo obtaining a Degree in Foreign Languages. She subsequently pursued further studies at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice, where she received a Diploma in Teaching Italian as a Second Language. Ms. Cillari began teaching Italian as a second language in 2007 and has since taught at all levels and to different age groups. Most of her experience is with children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. Sharing her love and beauty of the Italian language and culture with her students is her passion. She incorporates modern techniques, games and interactive activities into her lessons to stimulate and motivate the students.

Simona Sardella

Simona Sardella has been teaching Italian professionally for many years. After graduating with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Chieti, she pursued further studies at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice where she received her post­ graduate Diploma in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language. Simona moved to California in 2006 and has since been teaching Italian classes for different age groups and levels. Simona is currently the second grade teacher in the Italian Immersion program at the Benjamin Franklin Foreign Language Magnet School.
