Clara Benali

Clara was born and raised in Verona, Italy. She obtained her Masters degree in Literature and Philosophy at the University of Verona, as well as her teaching credential specializing in Secondary School Education at Ca’ Foscari in Venice, before moving to California in 2004 with her husband, Dario. Clara has been teaching Italian to both children and adults in Southern California at several local schools and has also been a part-time guest lecturer in the Italian Department at Cal State University, Long Beach. Clara is the proud mother of two and loves to cook and paint.

Patrizia Zambetta

Patrizia, born and raised in Bari,Italy, has a Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Bari. After working for one year in research at the University of Milan, and for five years in two large pharmaceutical companies, Patrizia decided to specialize in Education at the Graduate School for Certified Teachers, where she received her post graduate Diploma as a teacher. She taught Chemistry for five years with the Italian Ministry for Education both in Italy and abroad in Quito, Ecuador, where she also taught Italian Language in an Italian School recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Patrizia moved to California in 2013. Patrizia volunteered at different organizations to improve her experience and skills in teaching Italian to foreigners before starting to teach at Fondazione Italia in 2016. Patrizia also currently works as a teaching assistant for grades 1 through 3 in the Italian dual-immersion program at Franklin Elementary School in Glendale.

Rossella Pescatori

Rosella Pescatori received a Ph.D. in Italian at the University of California Los Angeles in 2004 and previously obtained two degrees from the University of Venezia (Ca’ Foscari) Italy, one in Philosophy in 1995 (with a dissertation in Social Psychology) and the other in Lettere in 1998 (with a dissertation in Art History). Her main interest of research and study is an interdisciplinary approach to literature focusing on Medieval and Renaissance studies. She is  the co-author and editor of the new English translation of Leone Ebreo’s Dialogues of Loves, University of Toronto Press, 2009. Currently as a philologist, she is pursuing a study that investigates the origin of the Italian language in connection to “Lingua Franca” in the Mediterranean basin. Rossella currently  teaches Italian at El Camino College.

Consuelo Endrigo Williams

Consuelo Endrigo-Williams is a graduate of the University of Bologna and the University of Venice. She was born in Pordenone, a town just outside of Venice in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. While a long time resident of Bologna, Mrs. Endrigo-Williams lectured for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bologna and conducted art laboratories. She was Coordinator of Villa Impero, an exhibition space in the surrounding hills of Bologna. Before moving to San Diego, California in 2008, Mrs. Endrigo-Williams worked in many of New York City’s internationally renowned art galleries and museums, including The International Center for Photography (ICP) and Grassi Studio. While living in San Diego, Mrs. Endrigo-Williams taught Italian at the Italian Cultural Center (ICC) as well as at Washington Elementary in San Diego for several years. Now living in the Los Angeles area, Mrs. Endrigo-Williams is excited to begin working with Fondazione Italia and is looking forward to meeting and working with members of the new Italian community in the South Bay area. She is committed to teaching Italian art, culture and language in new and exciting ways.

Roberta Bianchettin

Roberta was born and raised in Italy in a small town approximately 40 minutes outside of Venice, Italy. Before moving to Florida in 2001 with her husband, Roberta was a partner in her family business where she managed clients, employees, and suppliers. In 2008, Roberta started developing the National Association of Self-Instructional Language Programs for Italian at the University of South Alabama, which she worked on until 2010 when she moved to California. In 2010 Roberta began her career as an Italian teacher’s assistant for a children’s class offered by Fondazione Italia. In 2011 she was offered her own class to teach has been teaching with Fondazione ever since. Roberta is also the Italian teacher at Valor Christian Academy in Redondo Beach. During her free time, Roberta enjoys sports and fitness and recently became a certified Yoga teacher.
