Ennio Morricone’s first Los Angeles concert is rescheduled to June 15, 2015

Date 03.15.2014

Maestro Ennio Morricone has suffered a back injury that has forced the postponement of his Los Angeles concert to June 15 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences’ event Ennio Morricone in Conversation with Quentin Tarantino at the Bing Theatre, Los Angeles County Museum of Art has also been postponed.  AMPAS will be reaching out to ticket buyers of the March 18 event regarding that event.

Morricone has undergone an operation to repair a slipped disc, and his doctor has advised him not to travel long distances for a period of time to ensure a full recovery. Morricone said, “It saddens me deeply to have to postpone this concert. I am very much looking forward to my first Los Angeles performance.  Hollywood has been instrumental in bringing my work to American audiences, and my 2007 performance in New York was one of the high points of my career to date. I’m grateful and sorry to my fans for having to delay this show.  I look forward to seeing you in June.”

Tickets originally purchased for the March 20 Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE concert will be honored for the June 15 concert.   If ticket holders are unable to attend the new show date, refunds are available through May 1st via the original point of purchase.
