Enchanting Documentary, “Spettacolo,” Screens in Los Angeles – Sept. 29

Spettacolo” is a documentary about a small farming town called Monticchiello that confronts its community issues by turning them into a play every year. Filmed in Italy, the documentary weaves verite footage of the town’s unique process with 46 years of footage and photographs from its past. Like a novel, each chapter acts as a puzzle piece, filling in the details of surrounding characters, illuminating hidden issues and combining to form a larger picture of the importance of culture, community and everything we leave behind as we move forward.
