Intermediate

Adult Intermediate I is designed for students who have an established high pre-intermediate knowledge of Italian. The course begins with a review of the main points that were taught in Pre-Intermediate II. Throughout this 20-week course, while implementing new vocabulary regarding health, sport and fitness, and topics related to works and jobs, students will begin to learn the differences between the imperfetto and the passato prossimo, will learn the use of verbs like bisogna and metterci, and will deepen their knowledge on the imperativo and futuro semplice verb tenses, as well as grammatical structures such stare per + infinito and conjunctions like quindi, mentre , quando. At the end of the course, we hope to build a student’s knowledge to be able to confidently recount memories and events of the past, talk about their health, give advice on sports activities, talk about work, and express interest in other people’s stories and narrations.
