Adult Intermediate I is designed for students who have an established high pre-intermediate knowledge of Italian. The course begins with a review of the main points that were taught in Pre-Intermediate II. Throughout fifteen weeks, while implementing new vocabulary regarding “health and fitness,” “work” and “the home and house hunting,” students will begin to learn the imperativo, futuro semplice and congiuntivo verb tenses, as well as grammatical structures such as comparing two or more objects by using the comparativo and superlativo, and grow their understanding and use of adverbs and adjectives. At the end of the course, we hope to build a student’s knowledge to be able to confidently express future intentions, describe events in the past, present and future, make comparisons, express disappointment, express a hypothetical situations, and give an opinion on a given topic of conversation.
