B1 Citizenship

  • As of 4 December 2018, an adequate knowledge of the Italian language, at least at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (Council of Europe 2001), is required when applying for Italian citizenship (marriage and residency).

    Fondazione Italia offers two levels of online course, beginning and intermediate, that focus on teaching the necessary skills to pass the CILS B1 Citizenship test.

    The next test date is June 4, 2020. Please note: It is the student’s responsibility to register for the exam at a testing center near them.
