GENERAL POLICIES

Class Requirement – A minimum of five students is required to open a course at the published price and schedule. If the number of students enrolled does not meet our minimum requirement, students will be given the option to reduce the course to one hour or reduce the total number of class meetings. If there are less than three students enrolled in a course, students will be given the option to pay extra in order to have a semi-private course, move to another course, or request a full refund. If there are ten students or more who wish to take a course, we will extend the published class time by half an hour at no extra charge in order to allow more time for all students to speak and interact with the teacher.

Refund Policy – If the class does not meet your expectations, you may request a full refund before the second lesson meets of the current session. No refunds or credits can be given after the second lesson meets of the current session unless the class is cancelled.

Make-Up Policy – Fondazione Italia does not offer make-up classes. If you need to miss a class, please let the teacher know so that s/he can tell you what they are going to cover during the class. All adult classes are recorded so the teacher can also send you the recording of the class you missed.

Group Class Cancellation Policy – Fondazione Italia reserves the right to cancel a class as circumstances demand; unused tuition will be refunded.

Private Class Cancellation Policy – Once a package of private lessons has been purchased and started, there are no refunds. If you are unsure about how many private lessons you would like to purchase, we recommend that you start with a package of 4 classes.

Prorate Policy – We are happy to prorate fees for those who join a class after a session has started. We cannot prorate for classes missed once you are enrolled in the session.

Photographs – We may from time to time take photographs throughout the sessions. We use them on our social media and for promotional purposes. If you are not okay with this, please let us know.

Mailing List – By enrolling in one of our courses and agreeing to our terms and conditions you give us permission to add your email address to our email list. You will have the ability to unsubscribe yourself should you desire to no longer receive communications from us. Your email address is private and will not be shared with a third party.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

Participation in Italian classes in person or online and related programs, hereafter “The Activity”, carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. Specific risks can range from minor injuries such as scratches, bruises and sprains, to major and even fatal injuries. By agreeing, I, the Program Participant, Parent or Legal Guardian, acknowledge that I know and understand these and other risks that are inherent in The Activity. By agreeing, I hereby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks. I also hereby certify that if my child is enrolled in an online class that I will be present in the room or in the home and that my child’s participation in an online class is a scheduled event with my authorized approval.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in The Activity, I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Fondazione Italia, its officers, employees, and agents from liability from any and all claims including the negligence of Fondazione Italia, resulting in personal injury, accidents or illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in The Activity.

I further agree to indemnify and hold Fondazione Italia harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, expenses, damages and liabilities brought as a result of my involvement in The Activity and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.

By agreeing, I acknowledge that I have read this waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement and that I fully understand and accept its terms.
