Pre-Intermediate

Pre-Intermediate I is designed for students who have an established high beginning knowledge of Italian. The course begins with a review of the main points that were taught in Beginning II. Throughout fifteen weeks, while implementing new vocabulary regarding “daily life and weather,” “flavors of Italy,” “food,” and “family,” students will learn the passato prossimo, how to use direct pronouns, possessive adjectives and the reflexive verb tense. At the end of the course, we hope to build a student’s knowledge to be able to confidently speak about events that have happened in the past, time spent on vacation, and family.
